Chief Accountant

Job Description

The Chief Accountant will oversee and manage daily accounting operations within the Finance Department. The role includes supervising financial reporting, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, managing payroll and tax compliance, and maintaining proper financial documentation. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to handle financial data with accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations and financial activities
• Supervise the accounting team and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions in compliance with standards
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee tax declarations
• Manage payroll processes and financial documentation
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls
• Provide monthly and periodic financial reports to management
• Support management with financial analysis and decision-making

Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (e.g., ONEC  or equivalent) is a strong asset
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
• Proven experience in financial reporting, tax management, and compliance
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations
• Clean professional and criminal record
• Ability to provide professional references
