Technical Assistant

Job Description

A Technical Assistant supports the Technical Supervisor by overseeing daily repairs and maintenance, assigning tasks to mechanics, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, managing parts and inventory, training staff, and handling administrative tasks such as processing work orders. They also actively participate in solving complex mechanical tasks, serving as a key liaison between mechanics and management. The Technical Assistant ensures the smooth operation of the workshop, compliance with standards, and contributes to performance evaluations, playing a central role between the mechanics and the Technical Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily repairs, maintenance, and preventive/corrective schedules for the fleet.

• Assign tasks to mechanics and supervise workflow to ensure productivity and quality standards.

• Manage parts, tools, inventory, and administrative tasks such as work orders and reports.

• Train staff and participate in solving complex mechanical problems.

• Ensure safety compliance and act as a liaison between mechanics and the Technical Supervisor.

Skills

• Proficient in spoken and written French.

• Ability to organize and supervise personnel effectively.

• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.

• Strong safety and compliance awareness.

• Administrative and reporting skills.

• Training and coaching abilities.

• Problem-solving and hands-on mechanical skills.

• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.

Experiences

• Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.

• Holder of a technical or general mechanical bachelor’s degree or related field.

• Experience in workshop supervision and fleet maintenance.
